We have a range of free options for existing businesses that need help to grow and manage their business.Â
Business advice sessions are a great way to speak with a business expert to formulate a plan for your business and receive specific guidance in an area you may be struggling in to help you move forward.
Business health checks are a comprehensive 3-hour deep dive into your business to identify areas of improvement so you can leave with a clear report of where your business is currently, where you would like to be and steps to achieve this.Â
Business Advice Sessions
Business Advice Sessions are free one-hour, one-on-one sessions with a business advisor at ABS Institute. We can give you advice on starting your own small business or running an existing one.
You can tailor these sessions to meet your needs which can involve:
- getting advice on starting your own business
- improving your business’ commercial viability
- advice a range of other small business-related matters
- referral to other small business support networks
- referral to other courses or training programs that provide you with the skills and knowledge to build your business
If you’re eligible, you can book up to 2 free sessions every 12 months.
Business Health Checks
A Business Health Check is a free 3-hour, one-on-one session with ABS Institute as a Self-Employment Assistance provider. We can help you assess how your business is currently running and find ways to improve it.
We will help you:
- analyse your business and help address any issues that arise
- identify opportunities for improvement
- connect with other local business support services, where relevant
- provide advice on additional training or help needed to improve performance and outcomes in the future
If you are eligible, you can access one Business Health Check every 12 months.
Self-Employment Assistance (formally NEIS)
Self-Employment Assistance can help you turn your existing small business into a viable business by addressing issues that may be impacting on your success and looking at potential strategies to improve performance to meet your goals and objectives.
The program allows you to choose the level of support that meets your needs and the needs of your small business.
Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship and Marketing Programs
Other programs are available and designed to support micro, small or medium size companies that want to refine and strengthen their business whilst also achieving a Nationally Recognised Qualification.
Structured to be delivered in a flexible format to suit business operations they can include face to face tuition and mentoring but may be competed effectively through online delivery and assessments. The programs also offer the opportunity to provide training to both staff and management with relevant knowledge and skills to complement individual job roles and achieve desired outcomes.
